Seminars & Training
Compass Chambers members offer a wide range of seminars, lectures, workshops and other training events. We will be pleased to make presentations across the spectrum of our principal areas of practice.
Compass Chambers will be delighted to offer speakers to legal faculties and bar associations throughout the country. We will also be pleased to discuss particular education requirements and opportunities with individual firms and organisations for their own in-house training programmes. We are keen and able to assist both legal and other professional organisations.
We will be pleased to provide speakers for accredited CPD providers' events.
All of these presentations are given by members of Compass Chambers whose experience is acknowledged by their peers and whose contributions are monitored by our seminars committee to ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
Where possible we will complement our presentations with written handouts for the assistance of participants.
As well as being extremely able advocates, some members of Compass Chambers have wide experience in legal education and training, having been university and college lecturers and tutors. A number are instructors in advocacy and professional practice on the Faculty of Advocates training course for devils, and are approved devil masters in their own right. Many have for some time regularly participated in CPD presentations for a range of providers.
Compass Chambers will regularly present its own lectures, seminars and other training events. These will be advertised on this web site and elsewhere.
The list of lectures and seminar topics currently available is noted below. This list on our website will be refreshed and updated regularly.
Compass Chambers is accredited by the Faculty of Advocates as an approved CPD provider.
Any enquiries about our seminars and lectures, or any in-house training proposal should be made to our Practice Manager, Gavin Herd either by telephone on 0131 260 5648 or by email to gavin.herd@compasschambers.com.
